Wikipedia Says: Mia Maestro was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1978. Her mother was an economist and her father a businessman. At the age of 18 she moved to Berlin to be trained as a classical music vocalist. There she also learned the Brechtian acting technique as well as dance. At age 20 Maestro returned to Buenos Aires.
