King was born in Richmond, Greater London and attended Surbiton High School, in Kingston-upon-Thames, Greater London. King achieved three A’s in her A levels, in Psychology, Business and Economics, and Sport.

King ski raced for Great Britain as a child and later went on to ski for the English Alpine Squad.

King is one fifth of girl band The Saturdays. The band have had five top 10 hits, four top 5 hits and two number twos, “If This Is Love”, “Up”, “Issues”, “Just Can’t Get Enough” for Comic Relief and Forever is Over. The band consists of Una Healy, Frankie Sandford, Vanessa White, Rochelle Wiseman and King.

She is known for being the ‘posh one’ and plays acoustic guitar. Though Emma Bunton has compared her to Baby Spice.
